So summer is upon us and you're feeling like it's time for a new you. May I suggest a haircut... A simple to drastic haircut can make all the difference in the world. From adding a few layers to a short and sassy can change your look in a matter of minutes. However, before you do there's a few things to take into consideration.
1. Texture- Fine(thin), Medium(average), or Coarse(thick) hair. When determining a haircut it's important to know your hair texture. Knowing your texture is key because it will guide you in the right direction to what haircuts best suits your hair texture. There's nothing worse than a client with fine hair wanting a haircut that's best for coarse hair! 2. Face Shape- Round, Oval, Square, etc... The shape of your face determines how a haircut will look on you. Like, for oval shape faces I think a side part with layers always looks best, simply because it softens the face. There are a lot of haircuts for every face shape, you just have to take your time and find the one that's just right for you. Allow you hairstylist to assist you on choosing. 3. Maintaining- When choosing a new haircut be sure that it is one that your daily schedule will allow you to maintain. Also, consider that fact that you have the know how to take care of and style the new haircut in between visits to the salon. Make sure that your new haircut matches your profession.
Keeping healthy hair at the forefront, it is important that you get a haircut that doesn't always require heat to look good...we wouldn't want you to fry your hair trying to look good. Remember a great haircut looks great before heat is ever applied! It's summertime and a nice fun cut is always the way to go whether it's on you own tresses or extensions...CHOP IT UP!
