Beauty & Brains
Zerlene Rogers, Celebrity Hair Stylist, has answered a call to action. She is on a mission to impact the lives of junior high and high school aged girls at one of the most impressionable times in their lives. It is no secret that teen girls are faced with a variety of challenges and while some are equipped with the skills to overcome, others need support. Beauty & Brains will be that support. Zerlene and a team of professional women share a commitment to uplift, support, and empower these young ladies.
The Beauty & Brains mission is to uplift young ladies and empower them to appreciate their inner beauty. We want each young lady we encounter to understand that true beauty does not reside in the external, but, the internal. Beauty & Brains wants to reiterate that intelligence and cultural competence is essential to being a beautiful well adjusted, and productive person.
Beauty & Brains will be touring schools across the metroplex to share our mission with young ladies. We will be promoting our Fourth Annual Beauty & Brains Essay Contest. The girls will write an essay detailing what beauty and brains means to them. The rationale behind the essay topic is to provoke thought and a dialogue about their beauty and brains.
Winners will be announced at our Fourth Annual Beauty & Brains Brunch. Beauty & Brains participants will be able to attend this informative celebration at no cost to them. We are committed to providing a memorable experience, as well as, we are committed to providing the winners and participants with beauty services and/or products.
Beauty & Brains participants will compete in an essay contest that will explain, “What Beauty & Brains means to me.” The winners will be awarded a makeover and a variety of beauty and make-up products. Beauty & Brains is committed to helping young ladies prepare for the 2019-20 school year. In addition to the beauty products, we will be providing participants with school supplies.
